Be one of the first to visit the recently completed Springboard Kitchen in the North Valley on Saturday, July 27th at 9:00 AM. Urban Acres and St. Paul's were one of the grant recipients in 2021. They created a project, known as a "Ghost Kitchen" which is a community commissary kitchen for small food businesses. They also plan to use the space for food educational seminars and demos to help members of the community learn to identify and prepare healthy foods.
We will start the morning at 9:00 AM with coffee and fruit empanadas from Panaderia Oritz Bakery. Then we will see the kitchen and hear a few details about how the kitchen is going to be used and help our community. There will be time after for Q & A and we should be done by 9:45 AM.
Urban Acres Gardens has 17 garden areas in the North Valley and they will bring produce that will be for sale. Parking is available in a lot next to the kitchen or on Spring Street.
